Dear Pastor, Supporters and Friends,

    What a whirlwind 2008 has been. I cannot begin to recount all the “benefits” the LORD has blessed us with not only in 2008, but in the last 10 years in Mexico as well.  I don’t know how to express our gratitude to you for all your prayers and financial support towards our ministry in Mexico, but know we are truly thankful for allowing us to represent you here.  We hope to see many more souls saved in the coming years.

PRAISE!!  Roca Fiel Baptist Church: Carlos Chavira, Juarez, Chih.  Pastor Josue Robles.  

   Our last regular attendance here was on Oct. 26^th which was also the day we celebrated the 3^rd anniversary of this Church.  The Lord blessed us with attendance of over 200 without any special promotion other than the dinner after the service. In October, 2005 we along with a small group of brothers started visiting every Monday night in this area.  We started knocking doors and holding Bible studies in the homes, after a hour or so we would invite everyone to a bare lot and with some makeshift benches started having a short service.  It started with just a few. As the temperature got colder we held services around a campfire. The attendance quickly grew and today there is a thriving church with its own building and national pastor.  The church has recently sent a family to start a mission in a nearby neighborhood using the same pattern for church planting – Praise God for all his benefits!

   The Lord is so good. We have nearly completed construction on the parsonage and dormitory for the institute.  Plans are still full speed ahead for the new institute.  Would you consider a special offering to help us with the expenses for this?  See the Gideon’s Band flyer enclosed for more details.

   Recently one of the first people saved and baptized in this work went home to be with the Lord.  It was sad, but also a victory as we realize that that is the “why” behind our being missionaries and planting churches in Mexico.  Praise the Lord Cana was reached before it was too late!  Many of her children and grandchildren have been saved and are faithful to attend church because of her testimony.

PRAYER REQUESTS   We are seeking the Lord’s will in regards to where we will live when we move to Bermejillo in January.  Please pray for protection, guidance and power in preaching.  We still need support for the Bible institute, please pray for more support in order to properly train these men.  Thanks to each who have already joined with us in this great endeavor.
