“…in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”Galatians 6:9
Dear Pastor, Supporters and Friends,
What a privilege it is to serve the Lord and represent you in Mexico.Thank you for the prayers and support that make it possible. The Lord continues to bless His work here in Mexico.
PRAISE!!RocaFielBaptistChurch: Carlos Chavira, Juarez, Chih.Pastor Josue Robles.
Our ministry here has come to a close. The church has faithful attendance of over 100.There are 17 students studying in the part time institute of the Church.Offerings are at a point where the congregation is supporting the work, so in keeping with our missionary philosophy of indigenous churches, it is now time for us to leave. It is sad for us to leave the close friends we have developed here over the last 2.5 years, but exciting to think of future possibilities.Pray for the church and pastor Josue (Joshua) Robles that they would continue growing and sending out missionaries and pastors until the Lord comes!
The Lord is blessing the ministry in the rehab center and we now have a total of 6 hours a week to minister inside and many of the men that are nearing the end of the 3 month rehab are attending church along with the director. They have been accepted by the church completely and we are seeing some already surrendering their lives to serve the Lord.Brother Jorge has taken 24 men there in the last few months.Pray the Lord would allow Jorge to free up from his tortilla business in order to serve God full time in this ministry.
PRAISE!! Iglesia Bíblica Bautista de Gracia: Bermejillo DurangoPastor Ángel Luna.
We held the 2nd anniversary service for his church on June 29th and the Lord blessed with 300+ in total attendance and with around 25 professions of faith! We were expecting around 200 but God was so good to us.The news of the great attendance spread rapidly and on Monday the right-hand man to the priest came by the church and said that he has really started to doubt his “religion”.Angel shared the plan of salvation and although he didn’t trust Christ that day the seed has been planted and I know the Lord will save him soon!Pray for Raul’s salvation.(See photos on back)
Two groups have visited Bermejillo so far and the pad for the parsonage and a dormitory was poured in May and the walls were put up in June.We plan to put the roof structure and deck on with a group in the middle of July. We’d like to finish by late September, and so if you can help in purchasing building materials that would be greatly appreciated.
MINISTRY PLANSWe are making plans for a short furlough this fall to report to some of our churches (see back if you want us to come), and then in January (the Lord willing) we plan to move to Bermejillo and help brother Angel start a new Bible Institute there. This would be a full time, 1 year institute with a lot of “hands-on” practical in the field teaching for the students. The first year we plan to limit the students to 10 men.We have several that are interested in preparing for the ministry.Pray that the Lord would guide us and confirm that this is his will for the ministry.
PRAYER REQUESTSSatan is mad and would like nothing more than destroy the entire ministry so pray for: Laborers, Wisdom, Direction, Strength, and Protection. Pray for our son Zach as he will be in Iraq until July 2009.Pray for our daughter Amanda who is pregnant with our 2nd Grandchild.Pray for the remaining mission trips scheduled for this summer.
Looking for that Blessed Hope and Glorious Appearing!
Brother Tim, Miss Kelly and Leah Urling
FURLOUGH PLANSAugust 2008 – January 2008
We are planning a short furlough for this fall.It has been 6 years since our last furlough and since we are planning on starting the new Bible Institute in January 2009 we may not be able to report to our churches for several more years.
If you would like us to report at this time please contact me as soon as possible and we’ll try to work out the dates when we could be with you.We plan during this time to host a couple more groups to finish the dorm and parsonage so the earlier we plan the better for both of us.
