“ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ”Matthew 28:19-20
Dear Pastor, Supporters and Friends,
It is hard to believe that more than two months of 2009 have already passed and that the first quarter of the Institute classes are now history.Thank you for allowing us to represent you and your church in Mexico; we promise to do our best to see people saved and lives changed.
Please keep us and your other missionaries in Mexico in your prayers.According to the US consular office; MEXICO HAS BECOME THE KIDNAPPING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!Even in Bermejillo (pop. 10,000) we know of two people who have been kidnapped. The Mexican army has been here twice in the last month for house to house searches and even searched the church and institute facilities. Please pray that our presence here would not increase the risk towards Brother Angel or any other of the national pastors and workers.
The war among rival drug cartels and the Mexican Army has escalated to a point where along with the threat of kidnapping we are considering postponing all short term mission trips until the situation stabilizes. Please pray that the Lord would give us wisdom and guidance in this area.In the past several years we have seen 1000’s come to know the Lord through these trips – so it would be a shame to have to postpone or cancel them.
PRAISE – Grace Bible Institute – Bermejillo DurangoWe praise the Lord for the six students the Lord has given us this year. All of them have made great strides in their preparation. All students have won at least 2 people to the Lord in soul-winning.The men all take turns preaching, directing the services, praying, singing and public Bible reading during the services. They are all doing a great job in their respective “Sectors” and are seeing people saved and coming to services.
Recently we, the students, and Brother Angel and his family traveled to Aguascalientes to participate in the Missions Conference with Brother Allen Copeland and his church there. The preaching was good and we were able to help pour a cement pad for the church’s expansion.Combined there were around 24 adults that prayed to ask the Lord to save them and a “bunch” of children as well.
Brother Angel has done a tremendous job in training these men to be servants and to see the Kingdom of God expanded. Please pray for them as they continue this important task.
PRAYER REQUESTSPlease pray for protection, guidance and power in preaching and soulwinning.Pray for our soldiers and especially our son Zach Urling who is still serving in Iraq until July.Brethren, Please pray for us!
Looking for that Blessed Hope and Glorious Appearing!
