Dear Friends and Faithful Supporters,
We are a very Blessed family! We are privileged to serve the Lord doing something we love to do! I can think of no better life! There are days and even seasons when things are difficult and frustrating but there are many more days that are wonderful. Many say that variety is the spice of life, but doing the things one is supposed to do, day in, day out (Faithfulness) is what pleases the Lord!
Mexico is one of the most responsive and fruitful mission fields in the world. We need hundreds if not thousands more missionaries in Mexico. In the Juarez area where we serve there are more than two million people - there are less than 10 Independent Baptist churches! That means each church would have to reach 200,000 with the gospel. There are 28,000+ smaller towns (population together 40 million) that have been mostly ignored! Those 40 million souls will soon stand before the Lord, and then be cast into hell if someone doesn't reach them. Thank you for allowing us to represent YOU in Mexico! Below you find some of what the Lord is accomplishing with your prayers and support.
Grace Bible Baptist Church, Rancho Anapra, Chihuahua. Average attendance 225, Attendance Dec 18, 2005 was 350+, currently supporting several missionaries, 20 faithful to weekly soul winning and discipleship. Goals for 2006: 500 in attendance the last Sunday of July 2006, 100 trained in soul winning and discipleship. Needs: Church Van ($2,500) and Overhead Projector. ($250)
Mission Church: Carlos Chabira, Juarez, Chihuahua. Average attendance 30, attendance for Christmas service Dec 19, 2005 was 82. Goals for 2006: Purchase Lot where we are meeting to build church building ($7,000), Construct Main Church Building, Bathrooms, and classroom area / parsonage. ($5-8,000) 15 trained soulwinners and disciplers each week. We need people to come and help in construction and help us by buying construction materials.
Basic Bible Institute, Rancho Anapra. This is a Friday night class to teach Bible basics, soulwinning, and discipling skills to the members of the main church. We had 18 graduates the first part of December. Currently enrollment is about 50 in various stages of the class. I will be teaching a Bible Survey class to those that have graduated as part of this institute starting in January, as well as starting with new class.
Grace Bible Institute, Rancho Anapra. Is a one year intensive, practical Bible Institute that runs Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for 40 weeks each year (4 - 10 week quarters). We started 2005 with 11 students and graduated 4 on Dec 10th 2005. Goals for 2006: 10 Graduates, 2 Mission trips with students to evangelize and survey new areas for potential future church plants.
River of Mercy Children's Home, Rancho Anapra, Chihuahua. We are currently in the construction phase of this Children's Home. There is a critical need for this ministry as there are many abused and abandoned children living on the streets in our area.. Emanuel Robles and his wife Christina (to be married June 2006) will be directors. The foundation has been laid for the building. Needs: Construction funds, Construction teams to come and help, monthly supporters to pay for the recurring costs (Food Clothing, Utilities, etc) - We are looking for 300 people willing to support these children for $14 or more per month. Will You? Some will grow up to be the Next Generation of our Church leaders!
Short Term Mission Trips: We have several trips planned for 2006. We can host groups anytime of year and encourage any and all to come and help up us. We saw several hundred come to know the Lord as well as much work done for the Lord in 2005. Call us to schedule your trip.
