March / April 2006

Dear Friends and Faithful Supporters,

The New Year started much like the last year ended – Busy and Blessed!  I was privileged to lead Daniel to the Lord just before Christmas.  On January 9th Daniel’s Wife Lourdes trusted Christ in their home.  On January 16th Lourdes’ mother received the Lord in their home. Kelly has ministered with their 4 children in her class, and at least two of the children have trusted the Lord in her classes.

Daniel came to me a few weeks ago and said he has a personal goal to have 200 people that he brings to Church.  They are well on their way.  Lourdes has had a visitor for each of the last two services and both her guests have both been saved.  While soul winning with Daniel last Monday there was another couple saved in their home!  Amen!   That’s enough to make a Presbyterian shout!

Daniel and Lourdes both have enrolled into our Bible Institute and we hope that the Lord will call him to pastor the church in their area.  Please pray for them that their zeal and enthusiasm will help them through the difficult times to come as they prepare to serve the Lord full time.

Grace Bible Baptist Church, Rancho Anapra, ChihuahuaThe Lord continues to bless the work in Anapra attendance has been good, all our pews are filled up, even when the kids go to their class.  Kelly has been teaching class on Sundays and Wednesdays.  Last week 40 children memorized their verse and received a prize. We are planning our big day for May 28th – it will be the 3rd anniversary of the church.  We are working and praying for 500 adults in attendance.  Needs: Church Van (a window has opened to import legally vehicles into Mexico, Do you know of an older van we could use?) Overhead Projector – the Lord provided one – Amen!

Mission Church: Carlos Chavira, Juarez, Chihuahua.  Our average attendance continues to grow.  We are now averaging 75+ each service, the Lord is blessing.  This is the area where Daniel and Lourdes live. Praise the Lord – Three Christian Brothers from Ruidoso came on Feb. 17th and 18th and poured the floor for this work (17 yards) It was quite a blessing especially since they paid for the cement trucks and we didn’t have to mix by hand as we usually have done.  They are planning on returning this month to help us put on the roof/second floor.  I miss meeting by the campfire, but with the church growth this became inevitable.  We started taking offerings and they are now paying all the expenses of the mission as well as helping with gas for the other people that come on to help on Mondays from the main work.

Basic Bible Institute, Rancho Anapra.  I am now teaching a Bible Survey class In this ministry each Friday evening.  Attendance has dropped but we still have a faithful core studying to show themselves approved unto God.

Grace Bible Institute, Rancho Anapra.  The institute has started with 10 students this year.  Please pray that these men and women would be faithful until the end.   Last year we lost more than half before graduation.  We plan to go in April on a mission trip to help Brother Angel (2005 Graduate) as he gets started in the state of Durango with his “Circuit Riding” ministry in the smaller ranches and villages of this needy area.

River of Mercy Children's Home, Rancho Anapra, Chihuahua.  The biggest need in this ministry is monthly supporters to pay for the recurring costs (Food Clothing, Utilities, etc) - Will You Help?
