“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15
Dear Friends, Prayer Warriors and Faithful Supporters,
I can’t believe 2006 is more than half over!! Time flies when you’re having fun and serving the Lord. The Lord continues to bless way more than we deserve. Thank you again for allowing us to be your missonaries in Mexico. Without you our service would not be possible.
Anniversary Service Rancho Anapra. May 27th was the 3rd anniversary service of the work in Rancho Anapra. What a Victory the Lord gave! Here are some of the 517 teens and adults that were present.
The service was held outside the church to accommodate all who came. There were close to 300 children present as well!
The Lord has led us to slowly withdraw our presence here as they no longer need our help and guidance. Our efforts will now be focused on the mission church, as well as looking for opportunities to start new works in the area.
Lost Sheep Found! One morning around the middle of May I received a call from Jorge Berumen. He is the man that left our Bible Institute around 1 month before graduation. He told me he had gotten things right with the Lord and would be back in services. He has come back and in a big way! He has brought between 20 and 30 people with him to each service since returning. He has started a Bible study class in what used to be a crack house! They have had as many as 60 present. Thank you so much for your prayers on his behalf! Praise the Lord!!
Roca Fiel Baptist Church: Carlos Chabira. The second floor is now up and the children’s class has moved off the street! This work is really starting to develop. There is an average of 12 that go soulwinning each week. There have been 49 professions of faith in the last 5 weeks and many that are now taking the discipleship course. We have had nearly 20 finish all 18 lessons. There are several young men that have surrendered to preach. There have been 13 baptized in the last month. Keep praying for these new believers! Needs: Church Van, Pastor Josue needs a reliable vehicle.
Mission Trips. Maranatha Baptist from Bethany, OK and Rose Hill Baptist from DeQueen, AR went with us on a trip to Durango to help Angel Luna (the missionary we sent in April) get things kicked off in a big way. We held 3 open air meetings with many saved and many new prospects at each one. During one service the Catholic priest tried to keep the people from coming, but God got the victory!
We were able to locate a building to rent for the services and Rose Hill Baptist Church paid the rent for 6 months. We were also able to build 8 pews. The last night we were there, the first service was held (around 11 PM) and the first baptism was that night in a kiddie pool.
Please pray for Bro Angel and his family as they work to establish a church that reaches their Jerusalem and beyond for Christ.
Little is much when God is in it!
