Dear Friends, Prayer Partners and Supporters,
The new year started out busy as always, and by the time you read these lines it will be nearly 1/4th gone. We know that the night will come before long. What is the night? It’s the time when we can no longer work for the Lord. This could happen at our death, at Christ return, or when we are too old and without the strength to do what we should. Wouldn’t it be a tragedy to leave this earth having done nothing or very little for the One who gave His all for you? What have you done lately for Jesus? Are you doing your best for Him? Can you do a little more? The 4th quarter in sports or in life should be played to the utmost. My challenge to you is to give your all in 2007 – Before it’s too late!
PRAISE!! Roca Fiel Baptist Church: Carlos Chavira. The Lord continues to bless this new church. There have been several new families attending, and several men that are really maturing. Attendance has been between 50 and 80 each week; the variation is due to many factors, the chief one being the weather. We have no heaters and with the roof we can no longer do the campfires. The streets in our neighborhood are dirt and many times are not easily passable because of the deep mud.
I started a new class for the young men and they are excited to have a class of their own. We are doing faithfulness campaign and I have 4 in my class that have come nearly 10 weeks in a row. I have also been teaching a 22 week course in Bible doctrine each Sunday to the congregation. We are trying to lay a firm foundation among these brethren before leaving to start a new work - probably in September.
We still need older vans for the churches or 4 cylinder cars for our workers. If you can help in either area or know someone who might, let us know.
PRAISE!! Grace Bible Institute: Anapra
Classes started again on January 8th. We have 10 students that are preparing to serve the Lord in a full time capacity. There are 6 men and 4 women in this year’s class. One student started late and is not pictured.
Please pray for them that they will not be discouraged by the devil and that they will all graduate in December and then go on to their respective ministries. This is one way the Lord multiplies your missionary support. If you don’t meet them in this life I know you will one day in heaven.
